The park is named after Denny Dobbs, former Georgia State Representative and lifelong resident of Newton County. Dobbs served Newton County in the Georgia legislature for eighteen years and was honored by local dignitaries at a ribbon cutting event the day before the grand opening.

Loved this park. It has three different playgrounds and a large shaded seating area for parents. It is also very large with basketball courts and a baseball field. A lot of people were walking around on the trail. This is our new favorite place. Love the little trees that provide shade next to the playgrounds.

Me and my friends go here a lot for bike riding. It’s really fun and I recommend going here if you’re bored. It’s a place to hang out, talk, and all around let free. Please go here just for fun.

It's a great place to visit, but with the restrooms locked, you can't stay there very long. On 2 separate occasions, I called the Newton County parks and recreation dept to learn that the restrooms are remaining locked because of covid-19. Huh? What sense does that make? If there's a good cleaning team that will keep the bathroom facilities clean, there will be no problem opening the restrooms! OPEN THE RESTROOMS AT DENNY DOBBS PARK please and KEEP THEM CLEAN

My kids and their friends love this park. I can't wait until they are completely finished building everything.
